Thanks to your generosity, PACIM collected over $25,000 to support Ukrainian refugees in Poland. The money was donated to CARITAS in Przemyśl, Poland, to help their efforts in accommodating thousands of Ukrainians, mostly women and children, who arrived in this border town after the start of the Russian invasion.
Although they still face the hardships of starting a new life in a foreign country, most Ukrainian refugees who decided to stay in Poland have successfully assimilated into Polish society and are able to survive on their own. They have full access to the job market, free education, and the national health care and welfare systems.
For this reason, PACIM has decided to close the current Support Ukraine fundraiser intended to help Ukrainians arriving in Poland.
