Polish visitors met PACIM members

On Thursday, June 6, 2024, PACIM President Edyta Dudek and her husband hosted a potluck dinner for a group of Polish environmental activists and local community leaders sponsored by the Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program. Their U.S. tour focuses on examining advocacy efforts for sustainable investments in municipalities and mining communities, analyzing community engagement in climate change projects, exploring knowledge transfer in green investment strategies, and investigating solutions to mitigate the negative impacts of energy transitions while seeking new opportunities.

The dinner provided a platform for several PACIM members and the visitors to socialize and engage in diverse conversations. Topics ranged from outdoor-focused private education projects to the visitors’ impressions of their contrasting experiences in Washington D.C., an affluent mountain resort, a struggling former mining community, and the Twin Cities. The group now prepares for their next stop, NYC, continuing their exploration and learning journey.
