The Polish Christmas Eve (Wigilia) dinner was held on December 11, 2022, in Kolbe Hall. The well-attended event included a traditional Wigilia meal, carol singing, opłatek sharing, and a Christmas message from Fr. Cyprian Czop. There was also a presentation of the recipients of PACIM scholarships and grants, information about PACIM’s donation of a playground to Dom Dziecka in Skorogoszcz, Poland, and the results of the Support Ukraine fundraising. In addition, Amáda Márquez Simula, the Mayor of Columbia Heights, shared her impressions from a recent trip to Łomianki, Poland, a sister city of Columbia Heights, MN. The dinner was accompanied by lovely live accordion and violin music.
