Unfortunately, Mayor Trzaskowski has been called back to Poland to address urgent matters resulting from the historic floods currently affecting the country.

Rafał Trzaskowski is a Polish politician, diplomat, and academic born on January 17, 1972, in Warsaw, Poland. He is a member of the Civic Platform (Platforma Obywatelska) party. Trzaskowski holds a Ph.D. in political science and has served in various academic and governmental roles.
He began his political career as an expert on European affairs and was elected to the European Parliament in 2009. He later served as Poland’s Minister of Administration and Digitization from 2013 to 2014 and as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. In 2018, Trzaskowski was elected Mayor of Warsaw, where he focused on modernizing the city and enhancing social policies.
Trzaskowski gained national prominence in 2020 when he ran for President of Poland, representing the opposition. Although he lost in a closely contested election, he remains a significant figure in Polish politics, known for his progressive views and advocacy for civil rights, environmental protection, and European integration.
