Recruitment for the KUL Study Program for the Polish Diaspora and Poles in the USA and Canada is underway.
The Catholic University of Lublin invites you to participate in courses offered by the KUL Study Program for the Polonia and Poles abroad. The recruitment offer includes as many as 18 course proposals, among them, for example, promotion of Polish culture, artificial intelligence, effective management, speech therapy, mediation, and negotiations, Polish language culture, the study of reportage and interviews, as well as shared roots of Christianity and Judaism.
Classes, in the form of lectures and workshops, will commence in the fall. Meetings will take place online, but there are also planned in-person sessions in one of the American cities. The KUL Polonia Center, the organizer of the Study, has prepared a special proposal for the USA and Canada, taking into account the time differences. Participation in the courses is free of charge. “The actions for the Polish Diaspora and Poles abroad are part of our university’s long tradition of cooperation with our compatriots worldwide,” said the President of KUL, Fr. Prof. Mirosław Kalinowski. “As an academic community, we want to meet the expectations of Polonia communities and share our knowledge and experience with those who, regardless of their place of residence, want to acquire knowledge at the highest level and enhance their competencies,” added KUL President.
Prof. Janusz Bień, Director of the KUL Polonia Center, emphasizes that the prepared course offer for the USA and Canada is a response to the huge interest that the first two editions of the Study received in Europe since its launch in November. “As the KUL Polonia Center, we often hear that we should continue and expand educational activities aimed at developing skills and professional competencies of Poles living outside Poland. That is why we have prepared a rich offer of courses as part of the Study, which will be implemented in the upcoming academic year 2023/24. We warmly invite you to explore the offer and apply!” concluded Prof. Bień.
Classes and workshops conducted as part of the Study are more than just educational meetings – points out Dr. Wojciech Wciseł, Deputy Director of the KUL Polonia Center and Study coordinator. “These meetings often serve as a beginning for making acquaintances and building relationships among Polonia from all over the world. They have an integrating character for the Polonia community, and they often lead to joint actions. The Study is more than just education! For many, it’s a way to strengthen ties with Poland and Poles, regardless of their place of residence.”
The KUL Study for the Polish Diaspora and Poles abroad was inaugurated in November of last year. In the previous two editions, more than 550 participants from 16 countries, including France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the USA, and Canada, took part. All classes are free for participants and are led by professors, lecturers, and experts from KUL. Graduates receive KUL diplomas and certificates of completion in Polish, English, and the language of their country of residence. Further learning opportunities will be available for those interested.

Trwa rekrutacja do Studium KUL dla Polonii i Polaków w USA i Kanadzie
Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski zaprasza do udziału w kursach Studium KUL dla Polonii i Polaków za granicą. W ofercie rekrutacyjnej jest aż 18 propozycji kursów, wśród nich m.in. promocja kultury polskiej, sztuczna inteligencja, efektywne zarządzanie, logopedia, mediacje i negocjacje, kultura języka polskiego, studium reportażu i wywiadu oraz chrześcijaństwo i judaizm – wspólne korzenie.
Zajęcia, w formie wykładów i warsztatów, rozpoczną się jesienią. Spotkania będą miały formułę online, jednak przewidziane są również zjazdy stacjonarne w jednym z amerykańskich miast. Centrum Polonijne KUL – organizator Studium, przygotowało specjalną propozycję dla USA i Kanady, z uwzględnieniem różnic czasowych. Udział w kursach jest bezpłatny. Janusz Bień podkreśla, że przygotowana oferta kursów dla USA i Kanady jest odpowiedzią na ogromne zainteresowanie, z jakim wśród Polonii spotkały się dwie pierwsze edycje Studium od listopada realizowane w Europie. – Jako Centrum Polonijne KUL często słyszymy, że powinniśmy kontynuować i poszerzać działania edukacyjne mające na celu rozwijanie umiejętności i kompetencji zawodowych Polaków mieszkających poza granicami kraju. Dlatego przygotowaliśmy bogatą ofertę kursów w ramach Studium, która zostanie zrealizowana w nadchodzącym roku akademickim 2023/24. Zajęcia i warsztaty realizowane w ramach Studium to coś więcej niż tylko spotkania edukacyjne – wskazuje dr Wojciech Wciseł, zastępca dyrektora CP KUL oraz koordynator Studium KUL. – Te spotkania są często początkiem do zawiązywania znajomości i budowania relacji wśród Polonii z całego świata. Mają one charakter integrujący środowisko polonijne, a niejednokrotnie ich efektem są wspólne działania. Studium to coś więcej niż tylko nauka! To dla wielu sposób na zacieśnianie więzi z Polską i Polakami bez względu na miejsce zamieszkania.
Studium KUL dla Polonii i Polaków za granicą zainaugurowało działalność w listopadzie ub.r. W dotychczasowych 2 edycjach wzięło udział ponad 550 uczestników z 16 krajów, m.in. z Francji, Niemiec, Wielkiej Brytanii, USA i Kanady. Wszystkie zajęcia są dla uczestników bezpłatne, a prowadzą je profesorowie, wykładowcy i eksperci KUL. Absolwenci otrzymują dyplomy KUL i certyfikaty ukończenia Studium w języku polskim, angielskim i w języku kraju zamieszkania. Dla chętnych będzie możliwa kontynuacja nauki.
