Season Opening Day at Gammelgården

PACIM, along with the French-American Heritage Foundation of Minnesota and the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery, will participate in Season Opening Day at the Gammelgården Museum of Scandia. We will present displays and information about Polish immigrants and pioneers who lived in Minnesota during the same period that Swedish immigrants were arriving and settling in the state.
The event will feature new exhibits, hands-on historical activities, nineteenth-century games, live artisan demonstrations, a vendor fair, a toddler dance party, a historic fashion show, and farm animals from Little Blue’s Traveling Zoo. Visit displays from cultural organizations—including PACIM’s—and explore the Welcome House’s new exhibitions. Shop at the Butik and learn about volunteer opportunities. Fun for all ages!
