Polish Independence Day Celebrations

Independence Run
12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Starting and finishing up at Stone Arch Bridge and 6th Ave SE, right by the Mississippi River in Minneapolis (Father Hennepin Bluff Park).
The main route (“white”) is 5.4 km (3.3 miles), and the recreational route (red”) is 2.75 km (1.7 miles)
Special Guest: Mr. Paweł Zyzak, the Consul General of Poland from Chicago, is joining the race! He’s in town for the weekend.
Whether you’re a runner, volunteer, or just want to cheer folks on, come on over. If you’ve got white and red (Polish national colors), even better!

- 12:30 pm – Polish national anthem, preparation for the start
- 12:45 pm – Start
- 1:30 pm – Award ceremony
- 1:45 pm – Hot drinks and Polish pastries

The artistic program will be presented by students of the A. Mickiewicz Polish Saturday School and the folk dance group “Dolina.” We warmly invite all Polish organizations, members of the Polish diaspora, and everyone interested to come over to meet with the Consul General.
