Topic: Waves of Polish Immigration to the US
Polish immigration to the US dates back to 1608, even before the country’s founding (see article about Poles in Jamestown in the last issue of PolAm).
When did your family come from Poland? Were they part of a wave of immigrants after the partitions of Poland? Were they displaced after the Holocaust and World War II? Did they escape communism in Poland? Did they come after the fall of communism? What stories have you heard about your family’s journey to the US?
