Armistice Days Commemoration

On November 11, 2024, Partners in Peace commemorated International Armistice Day at Brit’s Pub in Minneapolis. The event brought together representatives from WWI allied countries—USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, France, and Poland—as well as U.S. Armed Forces veterans and active-duty soldiers. The ceremony was led by former Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie. Consul Agata Grochowska of the Polish Consulate General in Chicago represented Poland, joined by many members of the Twin Cities Polish-American community. An impromptu Polish men’s choir performed the national anthem, and Consul Grochowska delivered a speech on freedom and peace. The gathering was not only a meaningful ceremony but also an important social occasion. Thank you to everyone who took time from their busy schedules to attend!
