Hong teaches at Carleton College and is the founder and director of the college’s Chinese Music Ensemble. Praised for her integrative creativity\, she has “become this symbol of cross-disciplinary\, cross-cultural and cross-everything communication through music\,” according to fellow Carleton professor and pianist\, Nikki Melville.
